About ADSR's "DA hard to boot" topic
« on: January 18, 2011, 10:45:18 AM »
What is meant by "DA". I asked the same question quite a few months ago on a different subject. Krissel had responded that it meant Digital Audio which made sense to me at that time.
But ADSR's topic is obviously not about audio. What is ADSR and the rest of the posters
on his topic talking about? Is "DA" a particular type or model of an Apple computer?

Excuse my ignorance. It's probably because my already simple mind is inexorably shrinking!

Just because his problem doesn't involve audio doesn't mean the "DA" doesn't more specifically identify his model. I guess... dntknw.gif I own a V-6 engined Highlander, but I may have a non-engine problem and I may still include that info in talking about it... And I'm sure you know that even the <Car Guys> want to know what color a vehicle is before offering a solution to a car problem... laughhard.gif BTW, mine is silver... tongue.gif Do I get extra point for making this such a negative post?! nono.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Digital Audio is a particular model of Macs.   DA is the commonly used term to refer to those machines.  I have one that is heavily upgraded (as does Chris).  They are great little machines that are real workhorses. I bought mine used off eBay 4 years ago, put in a lot of newer hardware and Leopard and it's still my main Mac.   smile.gif

XABD. Indeed, a snap decision often comes unfastened.

Thanks Krissel for an answer most clear.
