How to sync address book between computers?
« on: February 16, 2011, 05:23:33 AM »
I regularly update my Address Book contacts on my desktop computer, but would like to be able to easily keep my laptop up to date and in sync with those changes.

What strategies work best for you?  I have Dropbox available & both computers are running 10.5.8.

I may want to use the same approach for others items, such as folders of notes, Safari bookmarks, etc.

I've never tried it, but here's a (free) option:

It seems to be doing the job very nicely--thanks for the tip!

I thought you might already have DropBox, Thomas. It's perfect for this kind of thing, and it's free, of course. Here's a <discussion> about exactly what you want to do...couple of years old.

If you don't already have <DropBox>, I'll send you an 'invitation.' That will give you an extra 250BM, I think. You get 2GB to start with. Anyone who signs up with an 'invite' you send them gets both of you another 250MB. I got several friends to sign up and now have 3.5GB, of which I use nearly 135MB! blush-anim-cl.gif PM me your email or send one to my addy xairbusdriver at mac.com and I send you the link you need. Of course, you can sign up on your own but you won't get the extra 250MB (nor will I. tears.gif ). rofl.gif

Anyone else reading this can email/pm me and you can get the same 'deal!' OTOH, if you don't have any friends, you may be stuck at 2GB!!! dntknw.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
