Make your own QR thing

I made a couple this morning, fun, quick, easy.
Just read them with your iPhone(any smartphone), and you are taken right to one of Lilly's pages.
You can do any site, words, text.
Odd way to send a link, but I love to try new stuff anyway.
Jane

Apparently, this technology never caught on (developed way back in 1994! tongue.gif ). Was never promoted well and is now being replaced with newer, easier to use and more info capable methods. The 'code' makes it next to impossible to be human-readable so it has all kinds of security problems; as little as being sent to a porn page to being able to inject malware on ones device or enable ones camera/microphone/etc. and sending that info to a SPAM/SCAMmer.
    QUOTE("NPR Report last week")
Last week Google launched its first NFC app, called Google wallet. It seems that by the time people finally figure out what QR codes are good for, they might just be swiping past them at the checkout line.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Security problems, ICK. I guess I wont play with this any more.
Seems everything we think is fun, has problems.
Oh, well, it was fun for a while to make links with it.
Thanks for the warning,
Jane

The links you make will probably not have any negative aspects. You seem fairly law abiding and not prone to develop malware. Of course, we don't really know much about you... laughhard.gif   The dangers mainly come from the ones you may see posted in public places, I would think. I see no advantage to having them on a web page, for example, so I'd be a little suspicious to use one from something like that. It is just too hard to know what they are really going to do. Probably 99% are harmless and will simply take you to an ad for some product. Thanks, but no thanks! rolleyes.gif
