1940 Census Info on Excel Spreadsheet
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:39:56 AM »
The 1940 census was released a few days ago. I looked up my family info. It's a bit hard to read, so I made an Excel spreadsheet, formatted like the 1940 census form, with my family info. Makes it easier to read. I'll provide a copy of the file to anyone that wants it so you can fill in your family info.

Are you saying you have "the entire" 1940 Census; or just that part where your relatives are?  I wouldn't mind one of some of it: Junction City, Kansas and Fort Riley, Ks (not sure where the Fort is, probably Riley County).

I'm thinking the entirety would be one large spreadsheet!   jawdrop.gif

This is probably a stupid question but did you have to type the photo image information for the pages into the spreadsheet by hand or does it already exist in a machine read file format!

Had to type in the data shown on the census page. This was easy compared to formatting the Excel sheets.
