I'm awlwheyz cirrious!!! laughhard.gif   Just think, you could have 120 USB ports! The switches would allow you to use any six for a week at a time. That way, you could spread the repeated plugging/unplugging between 20 different groups of six ports! Those things shouldn't wear out until 2025!!! WOW.gif And with that power strip, you'd still have two outlets unused! What a deel!! scram.gif

Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Just for yucks I emailed customer support for the Satechi, and this is the reply I got back regarding the power supply:

QUOTE
The power adapter’s input is 100-240V~ with an output of 5V 2000mA. As far as the hub itself, each port has a 5Volt 250 mA output and the total amount of power going to the hub may not surpass 2 Amps.

Well, I think you'd be safe plugging in five or six keyboards and mice at one time... Might not want to run too many external disks/CD-DVD burners, however.

I was thinking that USB already had a 500mA limit per port. dntknw.gif But Satechi is saying they'll only give you half that and even then you shouldn't draw more than 2 amps? That could easily be done without even using all ten ports, if my simple math is correct. OTOH, if you daisy-chained 10 hubs, you'd lose 1 port on nine of them, so you wouldn't really have 100 ports to "play" with... only 91! Better buy 11 hubs, I guess. wacko.gif scram.gif

An update: After reading several 5-star and 1-star reviews, I've opted to order the NewerTech. It will be a good month before it arrives, but I like OWC, and Chris's recommendation carries much weight. I've got 2 ports left that work in my current hub, and hopefully they'll keep working until the new unit arrives.

Well ... a good month was correct. Hub was back ordered a 2nd time and finally shipped out just a few minutes ago. I might have it before June is over? tongue.gif
