Chihuly at the Dallas Arboretum
« on: May 16, 2012, 08:36:01 PM »
Yesterday, my wife and I went to “Chihuly at the Dallas Arboretum” which features dramatic glass sculptures in more than 15 locations throughout the 66-acre Arboretum.

Dale Chihuly is known for his grand, innovative glass sculptures and use of vibrant colors. Over the course of his career, Dale Chihuly has revolutionized the art of blown glass, moving it into the realm of large-scale sculpture and establishing the use of glass—inherently a fragile but also magical material—as a vehicle for installation and environmental art.

Here's one of the best.

Cheers, Tom

I've seen a documentary on him in Florence, Italy; think it was PBS!  I do like the thing you posted with his stuff floating in water.

Did you see the marine creatures he did?  I cannot find the website that they were on. But it just was amazing!  The jellyfish!  I must see where I have that link, I KNOW I saved it somewhere.
