Battery Charge

I have a question? It's not a real problem I don't think, I'm just curious. When I have a full charge on my MBP, the indicator on the toolbar says (99%). However, when I have a full charge on my iPhone the indicator says (100%). Why the difference?

I assume you don't do that with the iPhone.

I do keep the MBP plugged in 24/7. I guess I must have recalibrated it per Apples instructions, because it now reads (100%)
Thanks Jim
