Now this is what I call "synching"

My analytical mind is confused! (AGAIN?! rolleyes.gif ) I can only assume that these "metronomes" use a feedback system to self-regulate their frequency to whatever seems to be a common one. My confusion comes from the perhaps mistaken opinion that a "metronome" will provide a constant "beat" or frequency, not one that will change for any reason. These things seem like a bunch of clocks that gradually change to all indicate the same "time" which will probably not be anywhere near correct!

OTOH, perhaps there is another "master" mechanism, off-screen, that they are adjusting to. Or even one of the 32 is the "master." In which case... so what? wallbash.gif dntknw.gif Related to the malware thread started today, did you just install a virus while I was watching the vid!! eek2.gif

You've whetted my curiosity, now give us the facts!!! rant.gif laughhard.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

This was very cool. Wish I could translate that description. I'd love to know how they made this work.

Found a "translation":

QUOTE
When you move the metronome and put on a table that moves multiple metronome that ticks all the metronome sound at the same time as it is known in sync eventually.

Create table test equipment such as works by hanging from the left and right units to put a metronome, the laboratory is Ikeguchi, we have conducted an experiment in sync. In this video 32 metronome ticks sound at the same time.

So part of it is the table that is used to hold the metronomes. Very cool.

Yeah, you could see the surface moving. It could take much longer if an equal number of the devices were started at the correct time so that half would be moving completely opposite to the other half. It would probably require two 16-fingered "hands" and careful timing by the two "arms." Otherwise, more devices would always be swinging to one side more than the other. I think the "too much time on your '16-fingered' hands" applies? wacko.gif I'll have to remember no to use those metronomes on two (or more) pianos at the same time on the old Tacoma Narrows bridge... laughhard.gif
