To further clarify, Raven, Adobe has always allowed one to install and activate the apps on two computers, recognizing that many users have both desktops and laptops. However, you are supposed to be the primary user of both computers and both installations of Creative Suite cannot be in use at once. However, in practice, the apps don't phone home after activation or see each other on the network, so you can run both copies at once, should you need to. However, you do only get the two activations, so be sure to deactivate on your old machine first, before attempting to install on a new computer. You can, of course call Adobe to reset your activations if a hard drive dies or similar disaster strikes.
