Changing Remote connection on iPod Touch

My iPod (2nd gen, OS 4.2.1), using the Remote app, wants to connect to the Snow Leopard MBP, which is how it was set up when that was my main iTunes source.

I want to switch to the iMac (10.8.4). I've checked Settings on the iPod but there seems no way to change it. App Store tells me all apps are up to date.

Just wondering if the iPod is too old to match up.

I don't have an answer, sorry, but I found this topic locked and so I unlocked it. Maybe someone will come share some tips.

Yeah, I noticed that 'locked' thing and figured Neil had found a fix and would post the answer.

I was going to ask if the iPod has a "Settings" or Preferences section like an iPhone. That's where the network settings are on the phone. It also has a "Reset Network Settings" function. Basically, I thinking there must be a place that deletes or tells the iPod to 'forget' a particular network. OTOH, it may simply allow you to create a new one with the iMac info. But I have no idea what the "Remote app" even is!
