Calibre turns 1!!!!

Grand little program, and I use it to convert not only ebooks, but those pesky docx files I receive from folks.

Calibre is donationware, and I make a yearly donation to celebrate as my birthday gift to myself.

Thanks for the great idea Kim. I have already made donations to calibre but an annual donation sounds like something Elaine and I should do. We don't know how we would organise our Kindles without it. Being able to convert books for our iPads is such a boon.

Maybe I should tell my brother to prise open his wallet and do likewise. If you read reports of huge clouds of moths being reported in Fife Scotland you will know that he has done it   Devilish2.gif

I've been using it awhile for looking at ebooks and pubs; the only thing I'd like is some clue that what I've downloaded is just a stem that really has no data in it.  The size is the only thing to go on and it often has a small size but something actually in it!  This isn't the fault of Calibre but of the people who post such blanks!

Thanks, Kimmer--I didn't realize it could convert docx files. A hint I can use.
