Smileys Different?

Hello.

After I drag one of the Smiles to the Desktop (like Wallbash.gif) if I open it with Preview (OS X) I'll see 5 diferent frames, one at a time, but if I open it with QuickTime Player, I'll see all five frames one after another, if I make the "movie" one loop, then I'll see it moving.

Depends of the Mail program if you can see it moving in the e-mail (not in Mail for OS X), but if you pull out the window and running with another aplication (QuickTime Player is one of them!) you will be see it moving.

As mentioned earlier it depends on your email client and the settings.

I use the free version of Eudora 5.2 (in 9.1) and it is possible to just drag and drop the images off the web page (IE) and into an open mail window to see them animate. Likewise if sent to another Eudora user they will move.

That's interesting krissel. When I had OS9.1 I also found the smilies would move in Eudora 5.2, and all recipients said they moved for them.  But since switching to OS 10.2.6, they stay static.

Bill:  I suppose I must have an animated gif program (without being aware of it!), since all the animated smilies do their stuff on the desktop.

Is there anybody there with OS 10.2.6 and Eudora 5.2 who can get them to work?

Takes a program too open them and make them "do their stuff"=animate, so yeah, you must have.
