Hi

Whith Firefox 29.0.1 , (Snow leopard)...in prefrence security, record password is greyed out...

Check "Utiliser un mot de passe principal". That works for me.

First try starting FF in Safe Mode to see if any add ons are involved:

If that doesn't work, you can reset FF:
