OK, I apologize, I blame the influence of the poor headline creations in our local "news" paper...
Got the following message today:
QUOTE
We’re notifying all Adobe Creative Cloud members that we’ve reset the clock on our product trials, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign... [emphasis added]
Only reason I got the message is because I've been 'playing' with a Lightroom trial. Ever the optimists, Adobe thinks that means I want to 'trial' CC!
OTOH, the app says I have only 17 days remaining... that's to be expected, I guess, since PSE and Lr remain as two of the few locally installable Adobe apps. I am seriously considering buying the app, even if no intention of signing up for monthly fees for CC. Truth be known (or
guessed/
opined?!), Adobe knows it can't get even 90% participation in CC. I'm guessing they'd be happy with 40%?
After all, ~$500+ every couple of years is still better than $10/month for even three years! I suppose it's the uncertainty of that "~" and the "+" that keeps them striving for subscriptions.
I hear there are more costly subscriptions, also.
