Apple's Big Announcement
« on: September 10, 2014, 12:10:28 PM »
Anyone watch the announcement? I understand there were glitches in the streaming. I didn't watch, but I can't wait for Nov when I can switch from my seldom works droid to the new iPhone (5.5 inch version). The Apple Pay looks interesting.

Just curious if anyone else has any thoughts on all of it.

Apple's Big Announcement

I watched parts, until those "glitches" got too distracting. Didn't see the beginning nor the end. Didn't see anything that surprised/excited me. Didn't even know about the 'watch' until I read the paper this AM. blush-anim-cl.gif Haven't worn a watch since I left the USAF except when I was working (it's a required item when piloting). Even when I was working, I seldom wore it when not in uniform. dntknw.gif

Apple Pay may need some reports of improved security actions from Apple before many people will use it. dntknw.gif

Only thing I saw interesting was the camera, probably only in the bigger iPhone; it has optical image stabilization! Amazing for a "camera" of that size! Of course, I'm not sure Apple had any direct production of it, that may become available in higher priced 'smart phones' fairly soon. dntknw.gif

Apparently, extremely little was said about computers. Much about more connectivity to iDevices to each other and 'grudgingly' to your Mac. Many questions about the iWatch, however, as to exactly why anyone would want/use it. dntknw.gif Of course, people said the iPad, iPhone, iPod, MacAir, and practically everything else Apple makes would be a failure! Even the company has been pronounced dead several times. That would have been the best time to buy its stock, of course! laughhard.gif
