Try adding an "I" to the end of the file extension name. You will get a nasty response from the OS, because it doesn't think you should do that.
Normally, that is correct, but in this case, I think none of your apps are recognizing ".mid" as a ".mid
i" file.
Of course, you can probably find some application that actually uses the ".mid" extension...but it's probably a Windose app...
Well, Neil beat you to the suggestion on changing the file name.
I hadn't thought about doing that. Duh! So I gave it a try and got the same results.
These are small files and I'll get 2-4 of them each week, play them several times as I prepare the slides for church and then dump the files. I'm just going to deal with realplayers intrusive alerts and go with it. I was hoping there was a simple answer to all this.
