Screen saver access to my pictures gone
« on: September 01, 2015, 02:22:37 PM »
I had to restart my OS 10.9.5 iMac a couple of times as Safari kept crashing, Firefox did crash too.
After the restart, my option to use my regular iPhoto pictures in my screensaver is grayed out.
Any idea of how to put it back to normal?
Thanks.

I see nobody has an answer to this, nor can I find much on the web about it.
It happened once before when my new Mac was acting strange, but fixed itself. One day it just started working again. I never figured it out.

I have had it happen that I couldn't use pictures for the screensaver because I moved the folder they were pointing to; different problem.
I would suspect this is something to do with permissions and/or preferences.  Did you try restarting it from the recovery partition (if you have
one, probably do) and fixing the permissions using First Aid in Disk Utility?  Could help; probably won't hurt! Thinking.gif

Not yet, I seem to remember that it was something that I didnt even try to fix, it just 'fixed itself'.

Very odd, I might restart the computer and see if that fixes it.
