Ad blocker extensions for El Capitan

Do they block ads or content? I'm not sure, but it's interesting. Apparently the biggest difference between any of these extensions vs AdBlocker (not plus), is that they can't track you.  dntknw.gif

Anyone use any of these extensions and had either a good or bad experience?

The blockers are all designed to certain types of content - ie: ads. They do this in various ways - here's a good article on blockers in iOS, which explains a lot that can also be applied to the OS X blockers: http://www.macworld.com/article/2976947/io...s-9-safari.html

BTW - AdBlock is a different blocker entirely than AdBlock Plus. I think AdBlock has issues and I switched to AdBlock Plus quite a while ago. I use AdBlock Plus and have no problems - and you can set it to block everything, including the things that they freely admit that they don't block by default (Google adsense etc.). From what I can tell, it does work on El Capitan. And it doesn't track you - I just finished reading their entire privacy policy.

As such - haven't tried anything else. Adamant, which is the first one on the list is only available for iOS, so I'm not sure why it's on that list. There is a Reddit discussion about it being available for El Capitan, but all links just lead to the iOS version, not the Safari extension. I'm wondering if they pulled it for some reason.(??)
