Time Lag on Linkedin
« on: September 04, 2016, 05:10:07 PM »
I use linkedin a lot for business and I've noticed that another person comments on one of my posts on a closed group, and I am informed about this in notifications, but there is a delay  in my seeing the comment.

On the iPad, iPhone I post a comment and then I can't see it in any of the browsers, and later I do see it.

I am mystified with this is happening.

I use Firefox mainly, sometimes Safari, and daily Chrome for one programme that I am using.

I have Apple Mac Pro 10.11.6 iPhone 9.3.5 iPad 2 9.3.5

Could this delay be a cloud problem or what?

Perhaps this a standard procedure at Linkedin to assure SPAMmers don't leave messages? Hope not, I'd think they'd want contacts to be as fast as possible. Perhaps each "closed group" has their own 'moderator' who only visits late California time. dntknw.gif Therefore, you don't see any changes until the next day in Briton. wallbash.gif

I have no idea what a "closed group" is there or anywhere else. Are there any details (FAQ?) that might explain these delays? Can you post in an "open" group and see your posts immediately?

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Thanks for this insight and I now realise that I must just be being monitored in this single thread about 'brexit' where I now have 215 comments within an institute's forum, which goes against the grain. It doesn't happen elsewhere in other discussions. As you suggest it must be down to my posts being monitored.

eek2.gif Depending on your comments, you may be "a person of interest" by either the old or new Prime Minister! laughhard.gif
