iPhone 7, camera question
« on: October 20, 2016, 09:16:07 AM »
I LOVE my new iPhone 7!And I bought a case from the same company which I have my former cases from. But, they sent me a transparent one, they called it a Deflector and not a case, and it was not a picture case. Then I called them and they sent a proper picture case, custom case they call it.But look at this, the port thru which your camera lens looks is obscured partly. Its too narrow? So I emailed them this picture and asked them what gives? Heard nothing back. It will work, but the side of the picture is very slightly darker due to being covered. Here is a better picture to describe the problem,,,,,,,,

I'd return the case and ask for a refund.

I emailed these 2 pictures and called them on the phone, and they apologized profusely, and said they would send me a replacement right away.
And thanked me for bringing their attention to the problem!

I bet whoever is their quality control person will get a reprimand and maybe get fired. Thats a pretty stupid mistake. My husband wonders if the mold for these cases was made improperly and whether that has to be changed too?

When I got the iPhone 6 a couple years ago, I got the leather cover that Apple sold. It was an extra $50 but it has proven to be good protection.

So, when I recently traded up to the iPhone 7 the case had the same problem. I chose to do my own modification using an Exacto knife. It isn't pretty but the case still works well as protection. I'm happy the case is black and the MOD i did doesn't show that much.

I cant understand why a company like this which did plenty of good cases for my classmates, could screw up two times on one order.
Ive sent them plenty of business.
When the next case gets here, I will be quite happy.

The new case came Saturday, and its OK.
Sad that a good company falls apart with quality control.
I notice that with customer service in stores too, at Home Depot yesterday, the clerks in the plumbing dept didn't know beans about electric dryer parts.
Turns out they didn't have any at all!
Ordered everything on line from the big appliance store which Ive done plenty of business with.

Appliance "parts" is not really the business of HD or Lowes. You could easily fill one of their stores with parts for washers/dryers/stoves/dish washers/trash compactors. You can get repair/replacement parts to completely build a 'new' appliance (bought in the last 15+ years) from a local appliance parts store, if you have one. But sometimes it is easier and usually cheaper to get them online. I like RepairClinic.com.

They said they had another building, but instead of driving there. Like you say, its so easy to order on line.
We even can get dog food here too.

Its odd that 2 family dryers would fail within 2 days.
