possible Safari malware

This is a tip about Safari but it could apply to other browsers as well.   Troubleshooting some nasty Safari malware It also may encourage people to upgrade to El Cap or Sierra.

Just another reason I use a local, file-based "home page". I've never understood why some want another entity (commercial site) to 'provide' links to stuff I don't want. HTML is too simple to not use for your own home page. Put you own favorite sites on there and ignore the junk and the associated malware. In the end, however, some 'sister' clicked a link on an untrustworthy site that enabled the change of that home page. The human "link" is always the weakest! rolleyes.gif
