When it dissapears the Dock preferences are frozen, clicky clicky, nada.
I have trashed preferences and removed recent downloads thinking conflicts, to no avail.  Ran DW3 twice, nada, Virex, nada. I have tried Apple to see if a fresh DL of dock is available, nada.  I am considering putting folders on my desk top conaining aliases of the apps that I use such as I did in 9.x and previous. I sure hate to go that route tho. sad.gif verysad.gif  verysad.gif  mad.gif

I use TransparentDock gmann.
Been sometime since I installed it, so not even going to try and recall how it installed. <gr>
Although I believe it put all of the docks originals off to the side and created its own.
Check out the link and see if there's a read me etc etc.

Was at a compusa today and to my surprise they had DiskWarrior 3 on the self for $99.
Didn't think they sent their products too retail stores.

Dakota, Glad to hear that all is right with the world and that your DW (and Norton) problems have been resolved. But in review of the above, I think the credit for first suggesting the solution, Repairing Permissions, goes to our own senior scholar and guru in residence RHP.  notworthy.gif
