Car charger for iPhone 7
« on: April 26, 2018, 03:38:26 PM »
I bought a dash mount for my iPhone, and need a new car charger.
There are so many out there for so many different prices, that its impossible for me to choose.
So as usual, I will ask you here for the best one.

I have the RoadWatcher app which I use, like a dash cam, works well.
I did buy an Amcrest dash cam and am waiting for our windshield to be replaced before I set it up.
But in the meantime, this iPhone holder will do.

I do hope you are not watching or talking on the iPhone while driving. I like the "Do not disturb" function...

Not at all, Ive got the bluetooth thing which uses the car radio.
This particular thing is going to be my dash-cam while Im waiting for the guy to replace the damaged windshield, before I put the real dash-cam in.

But I tell the kids and grandkids NOT to text me if they know Im driving somewhere, just phone. And I dont give out our cell phone #s.

Its so VERY important, as I see people texting and driving a lot. And we see more and more car accidents all over the place now.

Our UK Ford Fiesta has a USB socket next to the 12v socket (cigarette lighter...) in a console between the two front seats.  We just connect the phone via the USB lead and it charges while we drive smile.gif

Yeah! But can you light a cigarette with USB?! laughhard.gif Since there are no longer ash trays, I just leave a little air pump plugged into that old cigarette lighter socket. Sure, it runs all the time, but it drowns out the noises from the car's engine... thumbup.gif
