interesting that they would choose Fishkill NY for a production location. I found this argument a bit suspicious, though I haven’t attempted to purchase real estate in Indochina recently. The interest argument is baffling, since interest is convertible.

QUOTE
As other manufacturers get out of the US in search of cheaper production facilities, IBM has found it less expensive to put Made in the USA on its chips, due largely to lower interest rates and cheaper real estate.

The discussion that followed the article was interesting to read, regarding the globalization of the economy and the consequential loss of US jobs to foreign workers.

Just hope the plant in NY is a success and a good example for other manufacturers to follow.

Sure, they aren't in production at that plant, but what about other plants? (haven't read the whole article, it may say in there)

I have a tendency to agree GM yet who out there in the internet world would know more than taking educated/speculated/investigated guesses?
Maybe 'Think Secret" doesn't have a crackerjack Jimmy Olsen.
Then again maybe there star eye spy reporter is closer to the up and up than any others.

Only the manufactures knows what the real scoop is.

"Think Secret is working to ascertain confirm the delivery date for G5s through Apple's other major distributor, Tech Data."
