I've been reading the Mark Gimenez Scott Fenney series - The Color of Law, Accused, and The Absence of Guilt. Definitely not heavy reading - they were offered on BookBub at various times (the last one first, if I recall) and the first one was offered a couple of weeks ago, so now I have them all on my iPad.
BTW - BookBub can be a good source of books for iPad (Amazon, iBooks, Google & Kobo) - they aggregate the best of the various online book sellers freebies and specials each day and send you an email. Occasionally there is something really, really good - sometimes it's a lot of self-published stuff.

It's pretty interesting - I've learned things all sorts of things I didn't know about the history of horses & humans. (Frances - if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it).
So many books...so little time! I have stacks beside my bed, on shelves everywhere...
