Good story, Jim! My granddaughter used to live in Byhalia, but a few months ago she moved to Seattle.
I'm running low on toilet paper, so I check that aisle every day at Kroger. Alas, to no avail! But I can adjust. I grew up using old newspapers and outdated Sears catalogs in the outhouse. I am also running low on laundry detergent, and they can't seem to keep my brand in stock. My cleaning lady told me last week that she will soon need another canister of disinfecting wipes. Same story. Those shelves have been totally empty for days. There probably is no connection, but last time I was at Kroger I could not find any business-size (No. 10) mailing envelopes. I will try to find all these needed items at Walmart, but I hear their shelves are bare too.
Fellow TSer Frances Taylor (the Shetland pony lady in Scotland) says her local store, too, has run out of loo paper. It's a strange world we live in, isn't it?
