Microsoft TEAMS for Mac use?

Our local Chamber of Commerce Board will not be meeting in person until the corona virus crisis has passed. We will go to a group video program. Several Directors want to use Microsoft "Teams" app because they all use Windows. They praise it.

I do see the app on the App Store for iOS. I need it for my Mac Book Pro. I found a link for a Mac OS, but it says one has to have MS Office suite to be able to use it. I stay away from anything MS as much as I can.

Anyone familiar with "Teams" for a Mac?
Where is a reliable place to download?

A quick search shows that the site runs on a dedicated server (not a shared one) the domain was registered back in 2015, has been renewed once and expires this Aug.

Not sure why you want to use that site, you can download it directly from MS at: Get Teams on all your devices This MS site has the simple instructions for installing the Teams client on your Mac. It includes the first link for all operating systems.

It sounds like the app will either check your drives for more MS apps or maybe request a MS license code/number. If that happens you may still not be able to use it for more than a couple of weeks.

Some other board members are pushing for ZOOM instead to allow us to meet online.

ZOOM is what a lot of school districts are using to teach remotely.

We used ZOOM with 6 people.  It worked very well. Except there was a time out after 45 minutes.
