GoToMeeting - reviews?

Have any of you used this software/platform? If so, I'd appreciate your comments -- good, bad, indifferent.

I'm still researching, and I’m confused as to whether I'd have to pay for the desktop version or not.

I've used it - and it was free to me (but I wasn't the one setting up the meeting). Worked well.

Thanks, Paddy. We tried it last night and it wouldn't let several of us in. We'll probably wind up using Zoom. Personally, I don't see the point. Church business can wait until we meet again. ;)

We're just communicating via email for the Historical Society here - it works. If we need to vote on something, we do that by email too. It's not instant, but there is no need for that anyway, and it's very, very simple. :)

Email would work for me, but several of these folks don't understand reply-all:blink:  :p

It's just one person who is pushing the video meetings, and that's because ... well, never mind why. The chairman says we can wait, so wait we will.

No doubt those people have no idea what "BCC" stand for, much less why we would send an email to blind people... :scram: And who has carbon paper, anymore? :wallbash:

You can't BCC a group email. Oh wait, that's not what you mean, right?

Email blind people? A dear friend is blind and does email all the time. He has a braille converter, plus the ability to have it read to him.

"BCC" = Blind Carbon Copy = "Sending email to blind people using carbon paper" :whoosh:
Tragically, these people vote! :blueeek:
Other responses include: "We don't have any blind people in our group." :wallbash:
