Watching a Netfilx movie last night and had to laugh out loud as character clapped twice to turn out the lights! Those 'clapper' devices were a lot less expensive!!

My aunt gave us one of those as a Christmas gift. We discovered that if all of us got to laughing at just the right tone, it turned the clapper on and off. That made us all laugh even more, and so we spent an enjoyable evening clicking the Christmas lights on and off -- much to the displeasure of my aunt who didn't get it.
As to smart plugs, after a ton of research, and talking with other folks who actually do have smart plugs in their homes (plus they are iPhone users), I'm going with the Wemo's that I linked to in my original post. I'm away from home until next week, but when I get home and get things set up, I'll let you know how things are working.
