MacOs Big Sur 11.6.2 wipes out HP Colour Laserjet 2600n in update

Can you suggest a driver for it?    MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017)

I have had the same issue each time I update Big Sur. The printer driver switches from the Epson driver (which I want) to AirPrint (which I don't want). My solution is to reset the printing system and install the driver directly from Epson. The Epson software gives me the option to use either driver and I always opt for the Epson driver. You can download the HP driver here.

The instructions for resetting the printing system can be found at this Apple support page. Be aware that this will negate any presets that you may have, so you will have to redo them.

The HP driver does not work - I reset but then could not add a printer

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. If you click the + button, can you add a printer that way? Your HP printer has to be connected in order to do this. Alternatively, can you contact tech support at HP?
