I suspect the author is an Apple stockholder.
But it does look like Apple has a great chip technology. The problems will come in compatibility, especially third-party software. And Apple's still small footprint will be a hindrance. Their overall product sales, can hopefully, support the R&D for quite a while.
Would be even better if they manufactured them in the US of A?
