Performa clock goes walkabout

on each occasion that I power up the Performa 6400/200 the message on screen is 'reset your clock' I have installed a new battery to no avail.
any clues?

Have a try at deleting your Date & Time preferences.  Having just replaced your battery, I'd suspect a pref corruption.

It's easily possible that that's an old Battery and no longer works.

If software fixes don't work, try to return it or just get another one.
