Back in my early daze of the USAF, I actually worked at the Base Photo Lab... which had a real dark room!! And chemicals and reams of 8 x 10 glossy photo paper. And a ~3' tall enlarger. And a very large drum dryer (to dry the wet paper prints). My first camera was a twin lens reflex, completely manual
