Hey. They still work for me. <gr>
Could I tell some stories about so-called "amateur astronomers" and their gadgets or what!
Cost wise, I've seen setups that could put a hugh down payment on a beach house anywhere in the world. If not buy it.
Also seen some of the most prominent folks in the field walk around with binoculars.
Extremely expensive binoculars but still ... <gr>
Just about any real serious sky watcher these days have their setups piped through laptops onto a larger monitor, let alone devises for recording, pics etc.
Most people don't realize this. In the astronomy world, OS X is fast becoming the number one OS.
Just a few years back most software came through other platforms.
Ever since Jag (actually a bit before Jag) the developers been hopping off the old train and jumping into apples lap .. or to be more precise the OS.
