Unfortunately, Canada being a much smaller market for such gear, the prices for used lenses are relatively high... as demand is higher, especially for brands like Nikon.

I will look, however and see. I don't think I need much more than a standard (50mm equivelant), a wide angle 18mm or 20mm, and a decent zoom in the range of 80-200.

don't forget that the Nikon digital cameras cause the lens to give you about 150% focal length as compared to film cameras.

That's because the light sensitive chip is smaller than a 35mm frame. Thus a 50mm becomes about 75mm, a 200mm lens becomes a 300mm.

The f-stops are unaffected.

I knew there was a difference, that's why I included the equivelant bit, but didn't know it was as much as that...150%.  So a 35mm lens would get me close to a "normal" lens.

I'll be shooting a video this week under some very low level light...pitch dark to be precise. I will take some stills with my Coolpix as well...should be interesting to see how it turns out...I'm rather anxious about it.
