Dusty PB1400cs

I'm moving from Surrey to Somerset (both in UK) and, whilst preparing to pack up, I've just found a PB1400CS under the bed!

I'd forgotten about this useful little beast until now.

I think it would be best if I sold it (eBay?) but, as the battery has (almost) died, can someone please remind me where I can find the "Battery Recondition" feature?

Regards

David L.

David. FWIW. Says here. smile.gif

"You can recondition batteries using the Apple utility that comes on the original CD."

David, though I could find reference to using the Intelligent Battery Recondition utility on 1400's, the Apple documentation only refers to PB 500's. See:

The batteries on the 1400 are notorious for giving up the ghost - I have one too! Plus two adapters which cracked for no apparent reason.

Most of the 1400's I've seen on eBay note batteries without much charge - so if you're thinking of selling it, as long as you have a power supply adapter, you shouldn't have a problem. You won't get a lot for it, at this point - $100 to $175, depending on specs and condition seems about typical these days.

Thank you Kelly and Paddy.

The 1400 is in the post to a lucky buyer on a local newspaper's auction site for £140 ($220?) plus £10 post, insurance and packaging.

I had forgotten about Sherlock when I asked the question!

After common-sense prevailed, the matter was solved.

Thank you BOTH!!!!!
