I went to a Bestbuy store close to Torrance to pick up some ink and DVD/RW disks. I went over to look at the computer section and noticed the Mac displays.
Well first they look cool and would look better if the employees would move the large latter out of the reach to the customers.
Not onlty was that a disapointment to see, but when a man was looking at the iMac G4 on the endcap the employee said "oh it's a Mac" let me show you something better.
This is what Apple had trouble with Bestbuy and Macs being sold in the Bestbuys stores.
The Macs end up being hidden away, this time not in a corner in the back of a store, but by putting a large latter in front of them preventing customers to try them out.
Then tell a customer that it's a Mac and let me show you something better and took the man over to the Sony PC section of the store.
Well I did my job as an ex employee at shadey store and their dealings, because I knew how to unlock the latter and move it out of the way of the beautiful Macs so people could have access to them when they look at computers.
After I did that a man walked up to the KOOL G5 computer (envy) here you know...
and began looking at all the features the Macs had to offer him, I even walked over to him and chatted and I walked away watching him play around with the Mac.
As I was standing in the line at the register to check out, I looked over at the computer department and there was the latter back in front of the Macs again.
It's a big mistake for Apple to try and sell Macs at Bestbuy, no one there knows anything about a Mac and don't even bother promoting them either.
I hope Apple starts puttin in Apple people in the Bestbuy stores to sell them to the customers looking for a new computer. If Apple fails to do that, then it's a bomb for Apple like it was many years ago when Apple Computers were in the Bestbuy stores.
Good luck Apple! You are too good of a Company to be hiddin away in a shadey, dealing company syuch as Bestbuy.
Apple All the Way!
