Empty Folder
« on: October 31, 2003, 06:58:53 AM »
In my (Panther) Home/Library is an empty folder called Icons. I think, but am not certain, that at one time (maybe in 10.2.8) there was something in it. Now it is empty. Did I lose something, and if so, what?  Thinking.gif

Also, a few of the other folders, such as Colors and Assistants are also empty. Is it time to BIOB or go back to sleep?

Checked my Jag 10.2.8 lib folder:

Assistants and Colors are empty, no Icons folder.

Panther: All three empty.

Don't think you lost or missed anything.

Sir Pendragon:

FWIW:

My 10.2.8/HOME/LIBRARY/presently contains 37 folders and 1 single file, the latter = StickiesDatabase

Of the 37 folders, the following are, at present, empty:
    • Assistants
      • Color Pickers
      • Colors
      • Internet Plug-Ins
      • Internet  Search Sites
      • Keyboard Layouts
      • Printers
      • Screen Savers
      • Sounds
There is no Icons Folder in HOME/LIBRARY.

The only one by that name - - across the  3 partitions of my HD - - is found in my named Users Folder/Library/Safari/Icons.  Therein, it contains 15 folders, named cryptically only, 01-->15, if you can believe it.

Now, pay attention! Each one of those numbered icon folders contains numbered icon folders ranging from 14-15 (Huh?) while within only 2 or 3 of each are single files with absolutely totally definitive titles, e.g. . . .1764871174-1421667534.cache

Since that discovery began to generate the impression I was starting a stroll through an Escher lithograph, I wisely terminated my research.

And there you are!

Hmmmmmm?

Wake me when this is over, please.

Very Sincerely Yours

RHP
