iBook + second monitor?
« on: October 31, 2003, 09:59:07 AM »
Hi people smile.gif
I'm not sure if the new iBooks still can't hook up a second monitor (i know the old ones didn't).
Anyone knows?

The previous generation of iBooks can run a separate monitor, as can the new crop, if I correctly understand your query. They just don't offer monitor spanning, only mirroring.  But there is a hack that  allows spanning that works on some models of the old and apparently all of the new iBooks.

Go to the Macnn forums and search the iBook forum for info on the hack.

How come nobody mentioned this before? ohmy.gif
It's not ony working on iBook, but also on the iMac TFT's.
I will keep this in mind for my next purchase smile.gif

Thanks
