DSL in Penn Yan
« on: March 04, 2003, 07:20:00 PM »
We are getting DSL (should be) in Penn Yan this month.

I need convincing arguments to get my parents to get it.  I can't stand the 28.8K connection that we usually get out here.

They never surf the web and NEVER download so they have no idea how slow it really is.

Thanks
Peter

and I'm willing to pay $10 per month towards the additional cost.  OR I'm willing to spend an additional two hours a month doing farm related research.

Thanks- I'll try them

Jennie- I already offered to pay for it completely on my own (about 10 hours a month)  They didn't buy it

this is going to be harder than I thought

Thanks again

Peter:  What are their objections to DSL?  Afeared you'll spend too much time on line?
