How To Record A Startup Greeting?
« on: December 10, 2003, 11:49:15 AM »
A few years ago I was loaned an article about how to record a sound file that plays whenever the Mac is booted-up.  I have to admit that I have completely forgotten how to accomplish this small but neat feat...

Furthermore, I seem to recall that recording sounds isn't possible when using OS X.

My wife is a little teary that her iMac no longer chimes "All hail the Divine Ms. M!" when it starts-up.

Does anyone know if I can do this in OS X?  Might there be a small app somewhere that would allow me to record a greeting?

If I don't find a solution soon my honey may demand a return to...OS 9!
