would like to export my Mail addresses into Entourage, Mail has an import facility but not an export facility (not that I can see) whereas Entourage has the opposite except that the list of imports do not include Mail.
Any ideas please?
George.

George, Paul Berkowitz has written lots of Entourage AppleScripts, and has one called Sync Entourage Address Book which should do what you want. It is Shareware ($19) but will import all of your addresses for you and sync them between the two apps for free for 14 days.

Entourage Applescripts

Another free option, is Address Book Exporter 1.0, by David Martin, which you can find this page from a search at www.scriptbuilders.net :

http://www.scriptbuilders.net/category.php...=Address%20Book

I've used Berkowitz' script when it was available only in a limited free version (50 imports per time it was run) and it worked well. I've also used a number of his freeware Entourage scripts, like the one that sorts Group contacts by last name rather than first name. I haven't tried David Martin's script, since I use Entourage as my main app, and wanted to import my Address Book into Mail, just in case I wanted to use Mail for something.

Let us know what works!

What I did to move my address from one computer to another:

I  open "Address Book", Select all the address "Comand-a", then I exported as vCards, saving in the desktop.
Then I imported them in the other computer.

It should work, go ahead and try it  smile.gif

let me know if works.

Um...any time I tried that, Pascalin, all it did was the first one. You have to do each vcard separately - not a big deal if you have only a few contacts, but if you have hundreds, you're in for a very long job. I've found other references to this problem on the net too. Were you able to do a whole bunch at once? If so, please explain. "Select all" doesn't do it.

You can "Select all" and make a multiple-car file, but "Entourage doesn't accept any but the first card in a multiple-card file."

I didn't know that.

Yeah - it appeared that the file itself was big enough to be everything I'd selected, but darned if Entourage would import any more than the first one. Seems like M$ has gone out of their way to make it difficult to go from Mail TO Entourage, though Apple have made it easy to go from Entourage to Mail (Applescripts provided in Applescript folder)!  huh.gif And it's not as if they haven't had time to fix this either...
