Sound disappeared. . .

All right,  Bernie !  Doggone you; this morning, I was on the OS9.2.2 side of my HD, and I plugged in my printer, and the sound just disappeared! So I'm blaming you, but asking if anybody has any ideas.  I thought maybe my speakers had decided to quit running, but I'm over on the Jaguar side now, and the sound is fine.  I looked at the volume settings on 9.2.2, but they all seemed to be fine, and I couldn't get sound from either iTunes, a regular disk, nor from the USB in (imic), and all work over here. . .

You did try restarting in OS 9, right? Remember, OS 9 liked to be restarted

Thanks, GM; I'm holding my breath. . .I did restart; no difference, but when it started, I noticed that my Control Strip had disappeared, so I went in and checked a couple of settings, and my "output" to the speakers was now turned off!  Guess that will teach me to plug & unplug things while the 'puter's running! Now I'm wondering what else changed; since I don't spend much time on anything other than Jaguar, I guess I'll have to keep this in mind when I do go over to 9.2. . .
