One of the most boring Keynotes of all time! Man, enough iLife, bring on new hardware. I evn posted a poll on my site asking what everyone thought the most boring part of the keynote was. Man, what a sleeper.

GM pretty much captured my thoughts.

BTW, good poll Mike!

I agree with Mike. zzzzzzz.....

GarageBand has no appeal to me...

I don't need an XServe...

I've never owned an iPod - the thought of trying to get all my 100's of CD's onto one of 'em is completely daunting! (Plus, I don't particularly like listening to things through earphones).

I kept waiting for some real excitement - and then it ended!

Oh well. At least there won't be any urge to spend serious money in the near future. wink.gif

Actually, this pretty much falls into the move away from major announcements at Keynotes that Apple seems to be making. After all, they're only doing the SF MacWorld at the moment, saying they'll not be appearing at MacWorld in Boston.

Pretty disappointing.

Garageband is cool, no doubt, but I have no use for it. Hence, I won't pay the $49.

Final Cut Express 2 - don't do video editing (and if I did, iMovie would be good enough).

New version of iPhoto - I don't even own a digital camera (although I am heavily thinking about buying one).

New version of iDVD - my Macs don't have a SuperDrive.

New iPod mini - That one really annoys me! I was hoping for a ~$150 iPod. Not a tiny 4 GB 250 bucks iPod! The normal iPod is small enough in my opinion. Just not the price. Therefore, my plans to buy an iPod are on ice again.

And why did they discontinue the 10 GB iPod? Instead of re-releasing the 15GB model for the same price, they could have kept the 10GB model and give a discount of perhaps $50 or $75 or so!

XServe G5? Cool. But for an individual completely senseless and way too expensive. Although I like the rack-enclosure better than the G5 tower. Makes it look a lot more powerful! wink.gif
