Never even thought about authorization for installs kps!
Fact is even after reading that Gary's son installed,it didn't dawn on me.
Guess because I'm the only user.

Then you bring up the AIM that Gary's son could of installed might be the Jag version.

I know I've had to back-up-and-regroup my thinking process (no comments from the peanut gallery <g>) for X through the present Jag ..... hmmmmm ..... where did I stash those training wheels again?

Gary, once I had to force a reboot (can't recall the reason off hand) and by natural reflex I did it the way I used to do with one of the iMacs I had.
By holding down the cmd + option + power. It worked.
Yet if I recall the other iMac I had those key combinations wouldn't work.
So I suppose it was either sheer luck or hit and miss.
Sense I've read that all one needs to do is hold the power button down for a few seconds or so.

Probably other ways for shutting down (other than the norm) but to pull the plug,I've heard that's a no-no for hardware damage. Try all other options first before resorting to the kill-Switch method.
