Interesting - I have a Logitech wireless optical mouse which I tried feeding rechargeable NiMH batteries...it went beserk after about a day and a half. Finally read the instructions only to discover that rechargeables were NOT recommended. Seems they're lower voltage than alkaline AA's and the mousie doesn't like this - particularly as they start to drain. So, started feeding it the required alkalines. And fed it more and more...every 10 days or so, another set. This was getting reeediculous. And expensive. So, I went back to my trusty MS Intellimouse Explorer. Still use the Logitech occasionally for presentations (works as a remote for Powerpoint presentations if you don't get too far away...and yes, I know that Logitech makes something actually intended for this purpose )
Anyway, this Kensington rechargeable mouse looks interesting...was wondering when someone would figure out that optical mice eat batteries at a prodigous rate and might benefit from a rechargeable option.
Now if only Apple would see the light and produce a nice optical (cordless?) mouse with a SCROLL button. What do they have against scroll buttons anyway? Just seems like a no-brainer to me...
