The TS policy really should apply to everybody .

I discuss the war on three other forums, don't need it here too. Kind of relaxing to NOT see anything about the war here. So keep it out of here and lets discuss something that's more productive and fun instead.

Yes, I'm so glad we are not talking about THE WAR in this thread. I can turn on my radio and hear about THE WAR. I can actually watch THE WAR on my TV. All the news sites on the web are plastered with stories about THE WAR. Co-workers talk about THE WAR. The newspaper headlines are all about THE WAR. My weekly newsmagazine has feature articles about THE WAR. Seems you can't get away from THE WAR. Yessiree, I'm glad we're not talking about (you know what) here!

Not to change the subject, but is anybody here familiar with Western Arkansas? Geographically speaking. I have relatives in Western Arkansas, so I get down there quite often. I like to go in winter, because there's not alot of snow and cold weather in W. Arkansas, and that's usually a good break from Wisconsin. But, in the summer, it can get very hot in W. Arkansas. Sweltering. Simmering. Steaming.

In fact, in the summer time, W. AR can be a nasty place. I'd say sometimes, W AR is brutal. In fact, in July or August, I hate W AR. Why would anyone want to go to WAR?

As most here know, I disagree. When it comes to something as serious as war, that changes things. Some may prefer to stay in a cocoon and ignore the world outside, many of us cannot.

Also and maybe more importantly, over time many TSers have come to know each other, albiet on different levels. At times of uncertainty or even stress, if we can't in a civil way reach out and speak freely to one another in this forum, we are all the poorer for that.

The fear that a discussion will degenerate into some sort of name calling vitriolic screed may have some justification. That fear, however, should not dictate policy. Give us the respect and credit that we can hold a civil discourse and not destroy TS in the process.

If not now, when?
