Any thoughts (guesses) what improvements, fixes, and changes will be incorporated with Panther?

I suspect it will mostly be different 'skins.' Panthers don't have as many colors as Jaguars, you know. Of course, like all new versions of software, Panther will be bigger than Jaguar.

What we really need is "Cheetah", still colorful. but fastest cat on earth!

Actually, we already had Cheetah. It was the code-name of OS X 10.0.
Funny, because it was so slow.

My only guess would be that the first full working Safari will be on Panther?
Gosh, if you look at it.... Cheetah, Jaguar, Panther and... Safari
You would start thinking that they DO think things over there

Hard to predict...

Finder, Dock and other GUI tweaks...

File metadata would be nice, no more .jpg, .doc,

USB 2 support?

System tweaks and security updates. Especially for Wi-Fi and Airport.

Safari becomes the default browser?

iApps further integrated.

"USB 2 support?"
A little birdie told me the hardware is already in place with the new machines.
How much truth is in this? Well .... don't know.

"Safari becomes the default browser?"
Not to sure I like that idea?
