Epson scan to file
« on: March 29, 2003, 03:30:00 PM »
I'm having trouble getting Epson scan to file to work on my iBook. I can not select the scanner. It is seen in devices and volumes. The scanner works with Photoshop Elements 2, GraphicConverter, and Image Capture. I have no problems with Scan to file on my eMac. Epson scan to file. Version 1.00E Trial 2 on both. eMac 800. 1024 MB ram. Mac OSX 10.2.4. iBook 466. 320 MB ram. Mac OSX 10.2.4. Epson Perfection 1650 Photo. Gene B.

Just tried it on my eMac and it works 100%. The preview is kept so I can scan separate items.

I may be wrong with respect to your model. I just purchased the Epson CX5200 All-in-One and the driver note is as follows:

Important Notice: Twain 5.75A supports 10.2 to 10.2.3. Scan to File supports 10.1.3 to 10.2.1.

No support for 10.2.4 apparently, I should have specified that. Whether that is your problem, I can't be sure. Check the versions of Mac OS and the Epson drivers.

Looks like a workable Scan to file with OSX 10.2.4 as is on my eMac, is a software glitch for the good. Too bad I can't get it too work on the iBook.
