Linking images in web pages gets odd results
« on: April 02, 2003, 11:31:00 PM »
I know I should use something better than Netscape Composer, but since that is what I have been using, it is what I am most comfortable with.

But, as of late, it's been irritating me because when ever I try to make a link out of an image.  I get a wierd outlined box around the image when viewing my page and that image.  It never did that before Netscape 7.

You can see the outline on various images around my web site now and it is really starting to irritate me.  Here's the link.

Is there a way to have the image linked, but not have that box outline around it?

Thx.

***Edited to add that this only happens when I view the pages with Netscape's browser.  I just tried it with IE and it looks okay.****

Al,

You've got no border=0 reference in that img tag.

That's what came up in NS 4.6 (big fat red border)

Hope that helps.

Chris,     !

No border now, thank you...

I guess I have to add that bit of code by hand for every image that I link to    , Composer used to automatically put that code in before, why don't it put it in now?

Al,

Couldn't tell you on the Composer thing.

I use BBEdit.

When you insert images, does Composer not give you a checkbox to select the border size?
